Are bacteria in Curd and Vagina Similar?

Whatever Dr. Cuterus (Tanya Narendra) said in her interview with Lallantop’s talk show “Guest in the Newsroom”, is it correct? Is it true that bacterias in Vagina and Curd are the same? Well, what if we tell you it’s true and a Medical student even made yougurt using her vaginal bacteria? I know it sounds gross and must have tucked after reading it. But it’s true, and a few claims say this is a similar bacteria. A medical student named Cecilia Westbrook has experimented with the same. She practically makes yogurt by using her vaginal bacteria (don’t try this at home). People on social media don’t care to know the truth as they are more focused on making memes out of it. That is not going to happen here because we want the truth as much as you want. Know the similarities between curd and vaginal bacteria in this blog.

The Similar Bacteria of Curd and Vagina

Lactobacillus is a bacteria that is found in the vagina as well as intestine, mouth and is used as a probiotic. The technical term for this bacteria is Lactobacillus acidophilus. There are Seven types of bacteria in the vagina and this is one of them. This is also present in acidophilus milk. Undoubtedly bacteria have an important role to play in our bodies and are present in a wide variety of different parts of our body. These bacteria are believed to be inside and outside other organisms and in millions in numbers. Many bacteria are believed to be useful in many ways to humans.

Other discussions Over Vaginal and Curd Bacteria

However, a study says there may be some similarities that say they are not the same. Similarly, some say that this is not a good idea to research. Because our vagina contains a mixture of not only good but bad bacteria as well. Another professor, a microbiologist at the University of Canada shows disagreement with the research of Ms. Westbrook. Professor said if she was consuming it to get the benefits of the same bacteria that is already present in her vagina, then how can it make sense.

Another person by the name of Ms Hertzberger replicated the same experiment to make curd using different Lactobacillus strains; however, only one of those was remotely successful, producing sour milk with precipitated milk protein.

Omale Ogabe, a health expert, affirmed that these bacteria are not similar based on their Taxonomy.
He states that they may be of the same genus but vary in their species. In addition to that, he explains bacteria present in the vagina (Lactobacillus crispatus, Lactobacillus iners, Lactobacillus jensenii, and Lactobacillus gasser) and for curd bacteria ( Lactobacillus delbrueckiisubsp.bulgaricus).

Conclusion

I would like to state that it is simple to conclude this by saying that these bacteria might have some similarities or qualities in common. but not the same. There is no contrast in saying that they both have the same species but different roles and different locations to work for different purposes.
